Dirty Cowgirl was born from a love of heritage, freedom, and the quiet strength of women who came before us.

Founded by Clare, Dirty Cowgirl is inspired by the pioneering women of 1916 the cowgirls, farmers’ daughters, homesteaders and valley women who lived close to the land at a time when women were only just beginning to shape their own futures. These women were resilient, practical, graceful, and quietly powerful. They built homes, raised families, worked the land, and carried a deep connection to nature, place, and purpose.

Dirty Cowgirl exists to honour that spirit and bring it into the modern world.

We are not a costume brand. We do not recreate the past. We reinterpret it.

Our world blends Western and Welsh heritage with modern living where a woman can walk the hills in a hoodie, light a candle that smells like a 1916 hearth, and feel both rooted and free at the same time.
